We are a family that LOVES the Olde English Bulldogge breed! We didn’t know we loved them so much until our first girl, almost four years ago,(Joyful Acres “Penny”), renamed, Madison. After having loved her for more than a year, we knew we wanted to promote this breed. With no intention of breeding Maddie originally, we had her fixed. So, we added a few more to our pack over the last few years, having raised them from puppies, and recently added Starline’s Flirt and Arianna, as well as Kingsfield’s J’maica Me Crazy, AKA Jumbo. We couldn’t be more pleased or blessed with these loving creations of God, (not man); to Him be the Glory! We have 4 children, and recently relocated to where the good Lord intended, here, in rural McCurtain, Ok just around the corner from the k-12 school, coincidentally and pridefully dubbed, “Home of the Bulldogs”. J
“Let Me Get My Yorkie, I’ll Let You Get Your Bulldogge”
That is how it all began. My husband and I agreed, and I got my 1.5 month, 3 lb., Yorkie, Chiquita, and he got his 8 week, 13 lb. Olde English Bulldogge, Madison, aka Maddie.Having been caring for Chiquita, I was getting used to finding myself in the constant game of 52 pile pick-up, but nothing would prepare me for the wake of horror I’d experienced witnessing Maddie’s first POO. I remember wondering where the large cow went that must’ve left it there on kitchen floor, of our duplex apt., but the culprit was exposed when no sooner had I bent up from that one, to see the next 3! waiting for me. I saw NO getting used to THAT!, but in time, my heart for Maddie quickly outgrew her poo. Three and a half years, one more baby, and 8 OEBs later, on January 28, 2010, Trinity Bulldogges finally became a registered kennel, having produced our first great litter, on December 18, 2009.

Our Olde English Bulldogges and pups are well socialized with every range of size and age whether human or dog, and are a great family fit; from the awesome maternal, watchful, instincts of our females, to the playful, observant, protective nature of our males. They offer a sense of protection and peace, in spite of their weakness for play and lovin’. This brings to mind times, neighbors we’ve had along the way, conversating obliviously, would suddenly find themselves watching in terror as our dogs have broken free in our presence and come charging toward us with a look of determination to KILL, with KISSES!! J They would somehow stop on a dime at their feet, and roll over on their backs for some belly rubbing. Our friends and neighbors, were quickly charmed by that bully style lovin’, and became big fans of our big lugs.
This strong and majestic breed needs the help outgrowing the ugly stigma our inexperienced and misinformed society has developed in regards to what makes an animal dangerous. While the breed does carry great potential for a dangerous situation, it is completely avoidable, given the proper training and environment. It is ultimately the owner who molds and shapes the behavior of thier pet.
Remember: How you discipline and handle your pet will inevitably reflect on you, and the work and love you put into him or her.
